At 6:00am it had all the makings of a fine day, the kind you dream about in October. I figured I’d be extending my summer tan. Instead, a patch of dark clouds was gathering through the morning haze and we were heading right towards it…

Goodbye to Summer

As much as I like football and pumpkins and bobbing for apples, I’m not quite ready to give up Summer just yet. Thankfully it’s always Summer somewhere, especially in SL, and Flow‘s excellent boardshorts and retro swim suits from this month’s Mens Dept (ends Sep 30) provide a nice excuse to ignore the season and enjoy some SL rays. The boardshorts have a texture-change band and like the swim suits are available with liquid-mesh sizing in a range of colors and at an attractive price.

The avis feature skins by (Red)Sand (previously bogged here) and a recent gift from Aeva with shapes by Novus and Shape it Up. Hair is from Alli & Ali (including a current group gift), where numerous styles are on sale for 50l through the end of the month.

The Shop

A few pics today featuring Never Totally Dead‘s cool “Old Shop” build from the Room 326 hunt, which is a fun little hunt with some excellent gifts (see the hunt website for details). Not sure what we sell in this shop – a mix of old and new I guess, antiques and fine leather items, but it all has a price and favored customers get to relax in the back room (which perhaps I’ll show in my next post).

Safari Style

Some lovely items today with a safari theme all modeled by Astrid. The one-piece Mesh tiger motif outfits are a Hair Fair gift from Mystic Tiger that includes various colors/detail options and separates. The beautiful dress and skirt/top are both from 22769 for this month’s Safari theme at The Boutique.  They are available in a range of colors and as usual from 22769 at very affordable prices during the event.

All shoes (and most bags) are by BSD Design Studio, including the latest group gifts (but note the joiner fee). BSD is sponsoring Shoe Fair and that is an event you don’t want to miss for the latest shoe releases (and the occasional gift sprinkled around).

The two stunning shapes here are by Baholi and you can get them through today at just 55l over at Fi* Friday. The skins include the latest gift from Hush Skins and a new release from Aeva, available this week for just 75l.
