Lounge Lizards

Not a lot of freebies today (although there are some hints of the upcoming Men Only Hunt, which will be mega), but instead some new releases from Menswear Fashion Week, with a little Fantasy Faire thrown in for good measure. MWFW brings together a large number of designers focused on menswear with fashion shows and new releases for the event (ends Apr 27), many at discounted prices. The theme is Las Vegas this year, which means casual, stylish clothing with a rakish twist – like with SF Design‘s new Lounge Lizard jacket, which has a texture change hud with six cool motifs (sale price of just 100l for the duration of the event). I also quite like American Bazaar‘s open shirt/tee combination, available in various colors and with different tee options. It looks great with BeUp!’s new jeans and you’ll feel like money wearing it.

Las Vegas is all about fantasy and 22769/Bauwerk‘s Royal Room skybox from Fantasy Faire would fit right in there. It’s Mesh with marble texturing and has a master suite & main living area suitable for high rollers. You can check out 22769′s numerous fashion releases for Fantasy Faire through the 28th.

More from Port Richmond

A few more scenes inside the skybox from my last post, including a general view of this nice build from [Deco] on sale at Mens Dept.

Avis are the same as last time (see my previous post for info on gifts from Essences & Anna Shapes, also check the sale rooms for the new sale items from these designers). I’m not sure if the Golden Apple Hunt gifts are still available, but I hope some of you guys made your way over to the NYC sim to grab those items.

The fashion here is a mix of Mens Dept, two really nice group gifts from +HuHu+ (a relatively new store with some cool designs – check it out) and an excellent Christmas gift for women from English Muffin. Note that EM’s gift includes the dress shown plus six female skin tones and it is just one of a whole mess of Xmas gifts (100L joiner fee). EM also has a 1l Secret Santa Gatcha with some other gifties. Update: I’m checking with the owner on the availability of the Christmas dress. It is a new gift, but I can’t find it in the store now. Will change the post accordingly when I get more info. Update 2: The English Muffin gift is now there in a teddy bear under the tree, currently set to free – no group required. Update 3: I’ve just been informed by loyal reader Azurea, that the EM gift (still in the Teddy Bear under the tree) is now free to the group and 75L for non group members. ooof…Thanks Azurea!

Air

Dirty Little Secret has an excellent gift in the Something Old, Something New Hunt: a fully furnished, multi-level build called Air. Like its name, the house is full of light and air, and features skylight ceilings, glass walls, exterior staircases, multiple patio areas with draped fabrics and a water surround with trees. The build is soft-linked and the furniture is available as separates, so you can keep what you want (or use it in other builds). I’ve added some pieces from End of Daze that work well in the space.

Tash Porthos of Dirty Little Secret is also celebrating the anniversary of her store with a ton of group gifts for men & women and the DLS group is free to join until the end of the month. Join the group for her latest Mesh gifts (and stay in it because Tash is always generous).

Baffled

Baffle is a great shop that is unfortunately closing in world and until November 11 everything is on sale for 55l (also on marketplace). You can find an eclectic mix of pose props, decor and other items there, but the builds are truly special (see my Secret Garden post for another Baffle build I recently blogged).

Each design is totally unique and range from a domed floating home in the middle of the ocean, to a winter igloo complete with Polar bear or a creepy cottage with graveyard and hidden slaughter chamber. After rezzing them on the demo platform, I couldn’t resist buying them all.

I’ve done some fashion shots below using Baffle’s Le Petit Reve skybox from the sale, which is a fun approximation of a slightly grungy Paris apartment with some great texturing.

Also the November Mens Dept round has started with some cool items (including great Mesh pants from Credo and gO this round). Don’t forget to check it out.
