I wanna Rock and Roll

My recent posts had a few items from the Men Only Hunt 3, but here is a whole lot more featuring three dudes who just love to rock. There are lots of great gifts in this hunt – the theme is Rock n Roll – and hunters will find pretty much everything they need to create that rock look, whatever their preferred era. California Bungalow

The Challenge is a monthly event organized by Bauwerk and L&K Prefabs where participating builders have to create an object to fit a randomly generated theme. The second round theme this month is California Bungalow – maybe not the most exotic, but there are some nice items from the participants that should appeal to many (previews can be seen on the website).

The fashion here features great casual items from American Bazaar (including one hunt gift), an excellent free male shape found on MP, new release jeans from KlubWerK (check out the store for a whole bunch of group gifts), more from Mens Dept and BSD Design Studio‘s cute shoes/bag combination from Kawaii Fair (many freebies to be found at the various stands there as well). Pop Music & Video Games

It’s always hard to get back to blogging when I’ve been away for a while because I spend so much time catching up on all the events/sales that are underway, but My Attic‘s particularly great February round (ends Feb 28) with its Pop Music theme brought the necessary inspiration to do a little playlist. The collection has awesome stuff for women as well as the very cool “MPop” pose prop from W.Winx that is texture change, completely moddable and lots of fun for doing photos. It paired up well with the Arcade animated video game piece, which is new from End of Daze.

The male avi features an excellent new release skin from Essences – nice to see them concentrating on the male side of things again – available in numerous tones and with various facial hair options. Hair is by Mr  C: designed for “lovers” it was released for Valentines and can be worn by women. Clothing is from Mens Dept and I especially love the cool leather look from Razorblade Jacket with texture change highlights on sale for 150l until Mar 1.

The female stuff shown includes items from various sale rooms (all of which will end soon – the Fi* Friday shorts probably today – so don’t miss out), a nice free skin from MP and two hunt gifts with very different looks that will both fit all the beautiful, busty, Lushious/Tangolicious FT readers out there (i.e. includes appliers): paper.doll‘s dress from the I Love NY Hunt (14l, gifts shown here) and American Bazaar‘s top for HFYIS.

Modularity

My last post on Four Walls concentrated on some of the rustic items, the grungy even. This time I wanted to feature the more modern gifts – those with clean lines and often modular in concept. Pieces such as Scarlet Creative‘s shelving units (the gift includes numerous versions that you can mix and match) or Breno‘s reading nook (part of a future modular series), work perfectly in Circa‘s “Infinity Cloud” Glass Studio from the hunt, which has cubed rooms off a main living space,  skylights with metallic highlights and panoramic glass windows (Mesh, 29 land impact). Four Walls goes to the end of the month and previews can be seen on the hunt website.

I’m wearing Diego, the new Mesh head from CheerNo, which is on sale at TDR Fusion until Feb 1. In a sense, with these mesh add-ons, be they heads, breasts, hands, feet or other appendages, the avi itself becomes modular, a base to which components can be added or subtracted at will depending on needs. CheerNo’s head is interesting and can give a very realistic effect, but the lack of facial expressions can be a drawback. Some new releases shown below include Mens Dept items, a great shirt from HuHu (available with texture change hud) and an outfit from Apple May Designs, which is marking the opening of its new mens store with everything 50% off just this weekend (the AMD hoodie shown below is available in a different color free in store). Update: was free just for the weekend.
