After reading all of the comments (and this post had made it to the list of hot posts on the wordpress. com main page yesterday), I would like to inform you, that I’m going to take the final decision about the future of this blog next year. But, to be honest, I absolutely don’t feel like blogging again. Either you’ll see something posted on January 1st, or the blog closed.
When some people reported my old blog back in September and got it flagged by Google, it felt like a slap in my face, but I had the energy and the will to move the blog to wordpress and to carry on blogging. Maybe the hate mails are just part of that campaign, lanced by the same group of people. I don’t know, who they are or why they are doing it.
Please don’t be too disappointed, if I decide to take down the blog, there are many other good freebie blogs to keep you updated.

I love your blog, it’s great and one of a kind, you post things before other blogs take notice of them and you do a great job about it so I understand why you’re so disappointed, the attitude that you have been receiving from some readers is utterly rude and extremely insensitive (and I feel that they’re envious of your popularity), SL it’s just a game an some people tend to forget about that (they get too involved and they start to live their real life inside their second life and they forget that in the end the thing it’s merely a game). If you stop blogging it will be sad but understandable, if you continue you will receive our support because we certainly value each second that you invest on this blog.
You’re a great person so don’t let those people stamp their foot on your efforts and even if you close the blog please do so proudly because you have done a great job

Been there myself in other areas. But I LOVE this blog. You are a trend setter. You find things others don’t and post before others do. In fact many things that others never post. Each day when I sign on I come to your blog in the first 5 mins I’m online to see what incrediable items you and the other ladies find. I LOVE the blogs for sl .. but really have found this one to be amoung the very top.
I know its hard to ignore hateful comments .. The designer made a mistake and wants to place blame on others for her own peace of mind. Well all shes done along with her friends .. is cut her own throat ..
You ladies do a wonderful job for the new and old sl’ers that can’t run all over the grid to find clothing to wear or gadgets .. you just find so many things to share .. from shops that are offered out free .. I keep thinking i’m missing some deep point here .. the dress was a free gift right? .. so by word of mouth .. by blog .. by the women’s own group it was handed out hmm she got attention to her shop .. people liked or disliked her design and would of came to buy more perhaps… but I would think most now wouldnt step into the shop to even notice now ..
Feo .. I, and in the company of many others , think that you are doing a great job on this blog. You can tell by the amount of readers and hits you get each day .. even since Sept when you had to move.. that you are making a mark on others lives in SL .. all of your time and engery is far from wasted .. you and the other ladies do this blog out of your own desire to share .. to promote and help others have fun here in Sl and When people attack that .. well its very understandable to want to walk away. I for one .. a very small spec in this grand picture .. hope that you don’e let these people win and give up something you have put alot of love into ..

I lucked out finding your blog just around Hallowe’en – it’s been the most fun I’ve had in SL yet. Friendly, informative, fun and free. You do an excellent job and many, many people appreciate your hard work and dedication. I’ve often wondered, amazed, at how much time and commitment you have given to so many SLers without asking for anything in return.
I am sorry to read that you have been slagged by other SLers – some people cannot hide vitriol, vice and envy. What a horrid shock for you – those other bloggers should be ashamed.
Either way, whatever you decide, I support your decision. To work so hard on something that is apprecated by a quiet but dedicated group only to see it attacked by others is such a difficult thing. Volunteer work is rarely appreciated as it should be.
Thank you Feo for all your wonderful work, your fabulous Freebie tips, your dedication, your humour, your kindness and your time. You have made my SL experience far, far better than it was before I stumbled onto your group/blog and I thank you for that.

I have no hate for this blog, or the ladies behind it. I was an avid follower before this event, and I know how time intensive running a freebie blog can be so I can appreciate and respect that, but at the same time I don’t think Freebie Telegraph is any better than the rest of the dozens of blogs out there. You guys do a find job, nothing over the top, nothing under the bar, just like any other freebie blog you can name so I honestly don’t understand why it is such a huge deal if you quit or not. Yes, your devout followers may be upset, but in all honestly half of them are probably saying Oh we love you, oh we will miss you because they want to show support, when at the end of the day if Freebie Telegraph was in fact deleted, they could move on to Free*Style, or SLonDlist, or w/e other blogs are out there. I can’t name them all off the top of my head, but this all feels sort of like a huge mess of unfair drama on everyones side, and a publicity stunt on Freebie Telegraphs side. I do like you Feodora, and your blog, and I think you should do what you feel you should do despite the people that are for or against you, just think about the girls you blog with first. What have they done to deserve any of this drama? I mean, they blog for you, they raise your hit counter and make this site more popular. It isn’t Feodora’s blog, it’s Freebie Telegraph, Feodora and other authors run the blog and bring your all the freebies you fund in world, as do many other blogs. So why take some misunderstanding of mistakes between you, Feodora, and a designer, and turn it into this? I’m sort of saddened by the fact that instead of handling it discreetly, you mocked the idea of content theft and basically said how LeeZu is to blame for her mistake, which yeah, she made one, but you didn’t have to make it worse, you worsened the situation by letting this all get out of hand on “YOUR” blog. The right thing would have been to contact LeeZu, and the hate can be hard to deal with, we all know this and understand this, but to let it go on to such an extent in your comment? There is freedom of speech, but I have no doubt that reading throught those 100+ comment hurt you and the other blogger of this blog even more, hell even the girl that got called out and the other blogs that got blamed.
At the end of the day Feodora, you saying the blot may be over, comes off as a ploy for publicity because watch you turn around and decide, “Screw them, I’m loved, we are here to stay.” To be honest. And I feel bad for the girls who write for you, they have done so much for you and “YOUR” blog, and this is how you repay them? With all of this drama that you alone could have stopped before it started. You alone can even still control with the click of a delete button on comments. My best regards to the girls of Freebie Telegraph, and I hope that you are all having a good season because none of you deserve any of this negative attention that Feo has brought on to you by being selfish.
I don’t hate this blog, or the owner, or the authors, or the fans. I’m just completely turned off by how one little thing blew up ten fold, and is taking down any and everyone who even blinks in the same direction as this mess, because one person, Feodora, had the power to stop it all before it stated, and even still has the power yet chooses to use is in her favor of publicity (She even noted that this was popular on WordPress’s homepage, which shouldn’t matter if she’s truely hurt by everything).

Don’t listen to the haters! You’ll always have a solid group of followers (Babnoxis Uborstein as one of them) That will religiously visit your blog day in and day out if you decide to keep up with it.

I love your blog, there are other blogs, but you updated with such frequency and dedication. Not only that, but you as well are the only blogger who seems to have such a bizarre hotline to my taste. Honestly, I met you once in SL, and you seemed like one of the kindest most genuine people I’ve met, not that I met you for long, but I think myself a good judge of character. A number of things have me puzzled. I can’t comprehend why so many people are sticking up for you. Are they blind to what you did? Do they not understand how wrong you were? Why can’t you SWALLOW YOUR PRIDE AND ADMIT YOUR MISTAKES?
The facts of the case are as such:
1. You were beyond wrong to disseminate a gift from another group to your group without first asking permission.
2. LeeZu did not say anything hateful to you, nor did she call you names.
3. Sileny said nothing nasty to you. She had a right to be offended.
4. You wanted to stop blogging long before this happened, so don’t place the blame on undeserving people.
Acceptable remedies are as follows:
1. Admit your mistake publicly and apologize (privately or publicly) to LeeZu Baxter for disseminating her gift to untold amounts of people.
2. Direct your hateful retorts to those who earned it (Vicious Valentine and Snotty Sindy), NOT at LeeZu or Sileny.
3. If you don’t like reading comments on your blog, or if you (mistakenly) think that people don’t have the right to an opinion, disable them. If you allow comments to be posted, don’t be offended by them when you shouldn’t be. You need to apologize to Sileny for unnecessarily directing the ire at her.
4. Walk away if you want (after screwing up this badly, I think you should), but don’t do it before making amends to the people you have wronged. And don’t feel too badly; I don’t think THAT many people will miss your marginally readable blog and its abundant grammatical atrocities.

ive only been reading this blog for about 2 maybe 3 months it was you Feodora that saw me one day and i told you that you had a nice dress and you told me about this , befor this blog and the lucky chair group it would take me forever to find stores i likes or to flip a chair . now shopping and all you girls are the most fun i have in sl besides time with my Guy

OMG!!! what happend, what did Feodora do? did she kill anybody? or did she steal money from somebody?
No come down, she just gave away a free dress, and gave the creator free advertising……but it was only for my group say the creator.
Does it mean, that if i as a member of the creators group, get the dress as a gift, and i see that it is possible to transfer it, then i cannot give it as a gift to all my freinds? or i must ask the creator first if i can give my freinds a copy? No i don’t have to do that, unless it is clearly written somewhere.
And by giving the dress away Feodore made more people aware of the designers other creations. So i do not really understand the complains (did someone say something about how one little thing blew up ten fold)

Look the hospital can be a pretty depressing place and SL for people like me is a way to escape. But like many who have stated this- sometimes it does get boring. So blogs like the Freebie Telegraph –which according to me is the most diverse one–make SL fun again. Eg. The other day I got a puppy for the very first time in SL, from I store I would have never found or heard of if it were not for this Blog. Their store is now in my favorite LM’s to shop.
So please I think enough has been said about the pro and cons about what led to this situation. Now I am just hoping that Feo will stay and her bloggers too.
Let this one post be for all who support her to continue to keep on blogging. Besides if you don’t like her, you simply withdraw you readership of this blog and we supporters can respect that.

As a freebie hunter who spends literally hours a day running down landmarks, I can imagine how time consuming this blog is. That’s the only reason I don’t feel right asking you to continue. This is my one of the two or three great “go to” freebie blogs, and I will be very sad to see it go. But if it takes hours of my life just to follow your posts, I can’t imagine what kind of time you put in finding them in the first place, and then photographing and blogging them. Thank you so much for what you’ve given the SL community. I hope that the pleasure you get in blogging will return and that you’ll decide to stay on, but if you don’t, I totally understand.

Potentially, yes. If the gift that was given to her group for free was ever put for sale, she wouldn’t make a dime on it, seeing as how it was so freely given away to so many people.

Yes, that is what it means. The group message (I am in LeeZu’s group) said that it was for our patronage throughout the year. That doesn’t mean that you can send it to whomever you please, regardless of its permissions. I would like to think that, had I made the same mistake, someone would have the common sense and courtesy to tell me about it. Feo clearly lacks both.
Don’t try to make Feo look noble by saying that she gave LeeZu free advertising. That’s crap. Yeah, someone might try the dress on and say, “This is gorgeous… I wonder what other gorgeous items she makes.” However, I’m betting that for every person who said that, two people went to the store and combed it for items with similar permissions to see if they could take advantage of yet another item. Unfortunately indecency and greed seem to be rampant these days.
The other day I was in a store and I noticed that something was mismarked. There was a prior 50% off sale and one item (a fat pack and all of the individual items) had not been returned to its original price. Does that designer’s mistake give me license to IM all of my friends and say, “hey, come on down and get it while it’s still marked down! Come TAKE ADVANTAGE OF A MISTAKE!” NO! I PRIVATELY IMed the designer and let her know that there was a mistake. I did announce it in group chat so other people could buy up fatpacks at a reduced price to redistribute or sell. Hell, I did not even buy the item at its discounted price. That’s what an HONEST and courteous person does. It’s too bad that those qualities are so rare these days.

So, about a week or so ago, I run into Feo at a place where we both hang out now and then. I can see she’s trying on stuff, sorting through things to see if anything’s worth posting. She’s working, basically. So I don’t bother her with small talk.
A new guy comes up, just rezzed a day or two previously. He’s got nothing but shorts on and he’s all freaked out – says he can’t figure out how to work clothes.
Feo drops what she’s doing, calms the guy down, then heads off to find him some nice clothes. She says she will send him a TP and he should accept it and the guy agrees.
My big contribution was to advise him to stand up before he TPs or he might be stuck in a sitting pose.
So, away from the blog, that’s what she’s like.
Whether or not Freebie Telegraph ends at this point, thanks to everyone who put such hard work into it. I’m a guy, so most of the posts were not something I could use for myself, but I always enjoyed the writing.

You’re barely making sense due to the typos and grammatical errors. Have you been drinking?
Couple of comments from a casual reader:
1. Sileny REALLY shouldn’t have been called out for an unrelated comment; if the other blog and LeeZu’s notecard was the real issue, focus should have began and stayed there.
2. IMO actual packages should not be distributed in outside freebie groups, only landmarks and notecards to avoid things like this no matter what the permissions. I’m not a member of any groups like FT so I was sort of shocked to read that actual gifts are handed out… seems like trouble was bound to come eventually doing that.
3. LeeZu is extremely immature for bawwwwing about this in her group notices instead of taking it directly to the Telegraph owners and handling the issue behind the scenes. I will probably never buy anything from her because of that, just like I stop going to any designer that stomps their feet over a blog posting feebies and hunt locations.
I also don’t get the people crowing for a DMCA suit? It was one mistake and the high road would be to let Feodora off with a warning. Even the RIAA doesn’t serve papers for sharing one song. I’m sure she won’t be doing this again.
